They're making decisions without guidance, doubting themselves without reassurance, and wondering if they're cut out for this. Not because they lack talent, but because they lack access.
Access to mentoring. Access to someone who's been there. Who can cut through the noise. Who can say- I've seen this before, here's how to think about it. Someone who won't leave when things get hard.

That access has always existed. But it has never been equally distributed. Mentoring has gone to those who already know the right people, went to the right schools, or were lucky enough to work for the right leader at the right moment.

Mainak Dhar has spent three decades leading brands, businesses and teams across Asia, the Middle East and Africa with Procter & Gamble, General Mills, Kimberly-Clark and McCain Foods. He holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and is a certified Life Coach.
An author, mentor and business leader, Mainak has written more than 20 books, including works on leadership, personal branding and mentoring published by Penguin Random House and Bloomsbury. His #LeadershipIn100Words reflections on LinkedIn have been viewed more than four million times.
